Arrival.

The team is here. Supplies have been sorted and packed and labeled. Groceries and paint have been purchased. In just a few short hours, the journey to Quetzaltenango – Xela – begins.

You might be wondering how we’re going to spend our time while we’re here.

Xela – We’ll refurbish the kitchen at Cerecaif, an orphanage caring for 65 kids who have been removed from abusive homes. We’ll also spend time with the kids, doing Bible study, playing soccer, and distributing clothing.

Santiago – We’ll paint the classrooms at a community school, and then minister to 150-200 children living in the city. We’ll provide toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, and school supplies.

Antigua – We’ll visit with teenage girls living in a transition home, where they are learning lifeskills and trade skills to help them succeed in life. Our bags are packed with personal care items, undergarments, and baby clothing for two infants living in the home with their moms. Then we’ll care for the elderly at a government-run nursing home.

As we sorted the 600 pounds of supplies we brought with us by plane, we were amazed at your kindness and generosity. Your prayers have lifted us. Your donations have made life better for others. Thank you.

Let the journey begin.

Some of you have asked about the music on our videos. JR Taylor is the Worship Leader at Austin Christian Fellowship – and the instrumentals we’re blessed to include are from his solo project, En Plein Air.
