“Mom, there are lunch box kids. And there are none lunch box kids. I want to be a lunch box kid.” At the age of 4, my son Ian knew the truth – there is something special about a lunch box. It’s fun to peek inside and see what treasures await – a great sandwich, a fun salad, a sweet treat, a little note that says “I love you.”

I still think there’s something magical about lunch boxes. When I’m out treasure-hunting, I linger near the shelves and reminisce about Holly Hobby and a really awesome thermos. And a great grown-up lunch box is a fun thing too. I shared the perfect lunch box recipe with my friend Susie – if you Love:Food, you should check it out at susiedavis.org!
