What is the power of one?
One hand reaching out to hold another strengthens both. One heart stretched and shaped gives space for greater love. One voice joining with others creates a chorus that cannot be ignored. One smile, one invitation, one conversation, one simple, “How may I pray for you?” brings down walls and bridges divides.
There’s an old song that says, “Give one heart, get back two. That’s the paradox of ‘I love you.'” One life, yielded to the God who delights fully in its design, transforms lives. Now, you might be thinking, “Oh, I get it Ronne, this is about the book!” Well, perhaps it is in a way. What’s shared in One Woman Can Change the World is steeped in God’s delight in His design, and there are most certainly stories about lives transformed (including mine).
But this is really about you. Right now. Being unafraid to reach out and take a hand, give space, join the chorus, make the invitation. And if your life has been transformed, be the one to reach out and say “thank you.”
Today, I want to thank the voices that have joined mine on this journey as my book prepares to launch into the world. Their chorus of hope reaches across continents and decades and passions, and their enthusiasm has reached into my soul to buoy it. I’m praying for each launch team member by name, and am humbled by their kindness. They’ve become kin to me in this season. I am forever grateful.
