Joyful Thanksgiving.

Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live. ~1 Thessalonians 5:18

The true beauty of thanksgiving is this: the more we give, the more we are filled. The more we see life itself as something to be thankful for, to be thankful about, to be thankful in, the more we offer up prayers in whispers and shouts, the more we take the risk to dance on the path of the day, we see life – even a misfit, clumsy, stumbling life – as a divine gift worth celebrating.

Joyful Thanksgiving.

The whole of the life — even the hard — is made up of the minute parts, and if I miss the infinitesimals, I miss the whole. These are new language lessons, and I live them out. There is a way to live the big of giving thanks in all things. It is this: to give thanks in this one small thing. The moments will add up. ~Ann VosKamp
