13 people from 7 states join 4 people from Guatemala on a single journey. And God shines.
I am so very thankful for the little family He crafted in Cliff, Tricia, Christie, Deann, Grace, Kellory, Stacey, Caitlin, Jon, Amy, Natalie, Gloria, Pablo, Cesar, Julia, and my best friend (and amazing trip leading partner) Courtney. I’m thankful for the care provided to the discarded at Pequeno Refugio and Mi Especial Tesoro. I’m thankful for ministries like Orphan Outreach that are passionate about the cause of the orphan. And I’m thankful for the stranger in Antigua who stretched my faith by asking to join our team for prayer – though she didn’t fully understand what we were doing, she wanted to be part of what we had. She reminded me to always be praying for strangers, and always be prepared to pray with them.
“When you took your chances it was like you placed a bet
And sometimes this is the reward you can get
I was always taught when you see someone defiled
You should look them in the eye and smile
Take their hand or better still, take them home.Consider it an indiscriminate act of kindness.”
~Foy Vance, Indiscriminate Act of Kindness
